Many general repairs and part replacements are done in the store, but full set ups and major repairs are subcontracted to a guitar luthier. Guitars for luthier repair are usually collected and are returned a week later. In most cases we can give you an estimate of the cost or get a quotation from the luthier once he has seen your guitar.
You will be informed if there is any delay for spare parts or for more intricate repairs. For simple repairs and set ups there is usually a one week turnaround. We may be able to lend you a guitar while yours is away – please ask.
If you want a set up with a different gauge of string, please tell staff who will put the strings in with your guitar. The same applies if you require a particular make of string.
Should you wish to proceed with a repair, please fill in a form giving details of the guitar, set up details, how a fault manifests itself and your contact details. All work relating to this particular problem or set up is guaranteed.
